Terms of Service
DRAFT — not reviewed by a lawyer. Lines marked ⚖️ need a lawyer's check before launch.
Effective date: October 1, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Yu-Xin Wang, an individual based in Arizona, USA ("we", "us") about using Cardrobe. By using the app, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy.
1. Who can use Cardrobe
- You must be 13 or older. ⚖️ Some countries set a higher age, or require parental consent for teens. See the note in the Privacy Policy.
- If you're under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian should review these terms with you. ⚖️
- You need an email address you control. Keep access to it secure: anyone who can read your email can sign in as you.
2. Your photos and posts
- You own your photos. Posting doesn't change that.
- Permission you give us: when you post, you let us store your photo, show it to other Cardrobe users in the app, and make the copies needed to do that (for example, resizing it). This permission is limited to running Cardrobe. It ends when you delete the post or your account, apart from backups that expire on their own. ⚖️ Check that the scope of this license is enough, and is not broader than needed.
- Only post photos you have the right to share. If other people are in your photo, make sure they're OK with it.
3. Community rules
Cardrobe is for fun, friendly outfit sharing. We have no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Don't post or do anything that:
- shows nudity or sexual content, or sexualizes anyone, especially minors
- harasses, bullies, threatens, or mocks anyone, including about their body or appearance
- is hateful toward people based on who they are
- shows violence, self-harm, or illegal activity
- shares someone else's photo or personal information without permission
- is spam, advertising, or impersonates someone
- tries to break, overload, or get around the app's security
4. Reporting, blocking, and moderation
- Report any post that breaks these rules (tap ••• on the post). We review reports and act on objectionable content. ⚖️ App stores expect prompt action, often within 24 hours. Commit only to a timeframe you can actually meet.
- A post reported by several people is hidden automatically until we review it.
- Block anyone, and you won't see each other's posts.
- We may remove any post, and may suspend or delete any account, that breaks these terms or puts other users at risk. Where it's appropriate and safe, we'll tell you why.
- If a post involves a child being harmed or exploited, we'll remove it and may report it to the authorities. ⚖️ Check reporting obligations (e.g. NCMEC in the US).
5. Deleting your account
You can delete your account anytime in Settings → Delete account. This deletes your photos, posts, stars, reports, and blocks, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can also stop using Cardrobe at any time.
6. The app is provided "as is"
We work hard to keep Cardrobe running, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that your content will never be lost. Keep your own copies of photos you care about. ⚖️ Warranty disclaimer wording depends on the country; consumer-protection laws may limit it.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we're not responsible for indirect or unexpected losses from using Cardrobe, or for content posted by other users. ⚖️ This section needs proper legal wording and caps that are valid where you operate.
8. Changes to the app and these terms
We may change or stop parts of Cardrobe. If we change these terms in an important way, we'll update the date at the top and tell you in the app. If you keep using Cardrobe after that, you accept the new terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Arizona, USA. ⚖️ Choose the governing law and courts, and check any consumer rights that can't be waived.
10. App stores
If you downloaded Cardrobe from the Apple App Store or Google Play, their terms also apply. They aren't responsible for Cardrobe or its content. ⚖️ Apple's standard EULA terms may need to be included or referenced.
